ronen kadushin

Ronen Kadushin (born 1964) is an Israeli designer and design educator who has lived in Berlin since 2005.

He has been teaching furniture design and design creativity courses at leading Israeli and European design schools since 1993. In 2004, Kadushin pioneered the concept of open design, in which the designs of its products can be downloaded, copied, modified, and produced, similar to open source software. Based on this concept he founded Open Design, a design and production company for furniture, lighting and accessories that are manufactured in Berlin and sold in Europe and the USA. Open Design products are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions worldwide and published in specialist literature. Kadushin teaches open design and creativity courses at universities and speaks at congresses. Kadushin is the author of the Open Design Manifesto.
